Tricks and Tips.
Economy:
![]() |
1) Look at the screenshot on the left. The
filled figures indicate people who do not work. Resource
allocation is not optimal, but, on the other hand, the
more idle people in the village the faster the population
growth. It is useful to keep at least some people
unemployed. If you keep all the people idle in a
conquered village, the population will grow very fast and
you will be able to boost production soon. High morale
also increases the population growth. 2) Upgrade production in your villages in according with your global strategy. For instance, to use archers and pikemen you need more wood and large assaulting infantry armies are impossible without proper amount of iron and food. |
Troops Dislocation:
![]() |
1) Place stronger units at the flanks as shown
on the picture. 2) Remember that though infantry is stronger than pikeman but pikemen-archers pack is better than infantry-archers one. 3) Elite is a cool unit, it's good in every respect, but its cost is too high. 4) Cavalry shows its advantages only against infantry units. 5) Do not let archers to fight alone. 6) New unit gets some initial experience when hired in village with a high morale; the higher morale is, the more initial experience unit gets. |
Global Strategy:
![]() |
1) Try to conquer a weaker enemy village first.
Hint: weak village attacks your settlement with a weak
army. 2) Try to conquer an enemy village even if you can not defend it: when the enemy gets it back production level in such village'll be at the minimum level, so it'll not threaten you for a long time. 3) Defend your main village with your best army. 4) Do not lose time. Find right moment to begin conquering villages. 5) Remember that game has no easy levels. |
Battle:
![]() |
1) Tap any unit during the battle to see its
current hitpoints. 2) Village with better moral has a more powerful garrison. 3) Use 2 armies to attack strong enemy village. 4) To let your archers to take aim at certain enemy unit, first select archers and then tap at the chosen enemy unit. |
Status:
![]() |
1) Double click on the unit in "Set
Army" menu to see soldier status. 2) Experience, attack bonus and defence bonus are very important. For example, infantry with 3 attack bonus and 3 defence bonus is such powerful as elite troop without bonuses. |
Vavilon does not support Zire 71,
Tungsten T, Tungsten T2, Tungsten W. It works perfectly on
Tungsten TX, Tungsten T3, Tungsten T5, Tungsten C, Tungsten E,
Tungsten E2, Treo 650, Zire 72, Zodiac, LifeDrive and some Sony
Clie.
Sony Clie users must install MCA2 for normal work with sound!

LifeDrive users must install it to
memory, not to hard drive.

Introduction
------------
You live in a peacefull village in Mesopotamia, enjoy hanging
around with your fellow peasants
until one day word reaches your little town that the tribe that
lives far across the plain, beyond
the mountain has started to gather an army. It is said that they
even have, by some dark magic
probably, mastered the art of making weapons and armour far
superior to spears and wooden shields
with wich you hunt. They call it iron.
There is only one chance for your peacefull people to stay free,
you have to prepare for battle.
And someone has to lead your army; You.
Playing
-------
So, You drop your Marshmellow into the fire (what? no
Marshmellows in mesopotamia?Pah!) and start
building the future. In this case this means; an army.
On the starting screen you can select one of maps to play on and
a demo Battle. Nothing complicated here.
Ok, select the first map. Tap ok, and promise to include Sergey
in you bedtime prayers. Or write him
something nice in his guestbook on http://www.zargosoft.com.
Now, you see 3 villages. The red one in the middle is yours. Tap
it to open the "Village" Screen.
Here you can buid structures to gain resources. There are 5;
Food, Wood, Bricks, Iron, Horses.
Top left you see a picture of your village. It shows the morale
of your people. You can make them
happier and fight considerably better by giving them some money.
(just like in reality... no wait.)
Top left is a button labeled "hire", which is exactly
what you can do with it. Hire fighters, and
see what they cost. If you want to hire, lets say "Heavy
Pikemen", just tap the picture and say
yes. Which, of course, wont work if you just startet because you
only have one unit of Bricks. You
didnt think it was that easy to save your village from harm, did
you? You have to start gathering resources first.
To do this go to the Village screen by tapping in the free space
of the "hire" screen and tap the
bricks icon and confirm, to start producing bricks. You will
notice that this costs one unit bricks
to build, which is exactly everything you have right now. Also it
"costs" one bunch of villagers,
who will from now on be happily making bricks for your war.
You have still 2 bunches of people left, but no resources, so tap
on some free space to return to
the map an press "end of turn".
WAAAAHHHH!!!
Darn, they are fast. Both villages you see will build an army to
defend themselves. Or attack you.
Time to get resources to do the same. Go to village screen and
upgrade food production from +0 per
turn to +1 per turn. ok, one bunch of villagers left. And no
resources. End turn.
Now, I hope you get the idea of the Resource management because i
will skip to buying and managing
your army. In a few turns you will have some food to hire some
soldiers. Do it.
You will see quite tall a figure standing right on top of your
village. No, dont worry. He wont
trample down your Houses, it is just an representation for an
army standing in the same square as
your village. You can even tap it. No, dont be afraid, go and
try.
White Brackets will appear around it. It is now selected, and you
could move it by taping around
it, which will make it move in the direction. One square per
turn.
To manage it tap it again. Welcome to the army-management-screen.
Affectionately called "Set Army".
You can arrange the different types of fighters on the squares by
selecting (tap icon) and taping
the space where you want this unit to be placed when battle
begins. Upper row is in front, lower
row is backside, which is good for archers. But i guess you
thought so yourself. Right.
Next thing to note here, is the little disband/upgrade button
under the unit picture.
With it you can, ahh.. disband your fighting unit and get some
resources back, or ohh.. upgrade it
to the next better Unit of its type, by paying some resources.
Ahh, I guess that was quite straightforward too.
Well. Thats about it. upgrade your production, watch your fellow
citizens be fertile and multiply,
build one (or more) Army(s) and squash your enemies to
fine-grained mesopotamian desert dust.
Ah, and the "load" and "save" buttons do exactly that. use them.
Have fun, and remember; Dont Play and Drive! (tm)
